WMCS PTO (Parents/Teacher
Organization)
The Parent
Teacher Organization provides an invaluable network of resources
for the support of the education of all students at West Memphis
Christian School. The purpose of the Parent Teacher
Organization is to:
Provide fellowship opportunities
for parents
Support WMCS
where needed through volunteer opportunities for parents
Support WMCS by raising funds for educational enhancements.
Below are
just a few examples of what the PTO fundraising/fellowship
opportunities have done for West Memphis Christian School:
Furnished new classroom computers for 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade
classrooms
Furnished
new playground equipment including basketballs and goal, soccer
balls, tether balls and pole, kick balls, etc.
Hosted
Library Book Drive that brought in over 1600 books for the
elementary and high school libraries
Provided program materials for high school's "True Love Waits"
program
Hosted
socials for "Grandparent's Pumpkin Carving Contest",
"Grandparent's Ice Cream Social", family night for the
"Nutcracker" ballet at the Orpheum
