Christian School began in a day-care and kindergarten class in 1970 with an
enrollment of 50 students. In 1971 grades 1-3 were added and grades 4-6 were
included in 1972. The 7th and 8th grades began in 1973 and a grade was added
each year until the first graduating class of 1977- 78. There were 21 graduates
in that class and since that time the school has graduated 725
students.
Our previous junior and senior high
building was first used in September 1975. The new elementary facility was
completed during the 1987-88 school year. The remodeled gym and 4 additional
classrooms were completed in early 1993. In the fall of 2006 WMCS opened
up it's new property at 1101 N. Missouri Street. This state of the art
facility currently houses the Jr & Sr. High. Future renovation for the
elementary side of this building is planned for the near future. This
facility can house up to 750 students and has over 72,000 square feet.
